Operational and Profitability Analysis Using Big Data

From tablets and PCs, decision-makers can now access the information they need—anytime. A real-time data pipeline was established to capture massive transaction details from each store and output them in a format optimized for analysis.

Background and Challenges Leading to EasyOneBI Implementation

For Yoshinoya Holdings, which operates a nationwide chain of restaurants, analyzing detailed transaction data by store, menu, or time of day is essential to business management. However, the data volume frequently reaches tens of millions of records per day—sometimes over a hundred million—spanning a wide variety of data types.

Staff were overwhelmed with managing this vast database. Additionally, given the ever-evolving business environment, analytics metrics would also need to remain flexible and adaptable. To meet these demands, IPS’s EasyOneBI was introduced to quickly build an advanced, responsive analytics platform.

IPS Powered by SAP Cloud Services

With EasyOneBI, near real-time data integration was achieved. Reports that had previously been sent via email once a day could now be accessed on demand. Monthly analysis documents, which had taken days to compile in Excel, could now be viewed instantly as daily-confirmed information—enabling immediate visualization of sales volumes, customer counts, revenue trends, and anomalies.
